behind the posts
My name is Yuliia Kushnirchuk. I'm Vice President of client success for Financial Services in Europe in IT services providing company. The range of my responsibilities is wide and it begins with potential customers engaging, identifying their business needs, advising proper IT solutions to fulfilling those requests and continues until we ensure successful delivery of defined solutions and services.
I have both tech and finance background, also I studied programming and obtained bachelors in systems software development, masters degree in finance and doctorate degree in economics.
I've been leading departments, programs, different types of projects for over 10 years. Along with my teams I delivered over 200 projects of different size and complexity. My practical knowledge and both finance and technical background allowed me to ensure portfolio sustainable growth by initiating new projects, taking over and leading existing projects, establishing program processes at scale, optimizing departments operational work, aligning activities related to business development, building leadership teams etc.
During this time I realized that management is my passion. It brings me so much joy, happiness, challenges and doubts, but also it allows me to grow as a person.
What I love about managerial roles is that it's alway a very cross-discipline subject and it touches psychology, finance, technology, raises sociological and ethical questions. Also management helped me to understand that there are almost no deadlock situations and we always have a choice. Another great thing about management is that there are so many colors and shades to managerial role that there is an opportunity for an individual to pick the one where they can shine their brightest colors.
Thus in this blog I'll be sharing leadership skills expected from different managerial roles, what those roles could be, tips and tricks for managers but also what we can borrow from management into our day-to-day life to make it more predictable and comfy.
